The world of international trade law is mostly about the movement of cargo from one port to another on a global scale.
This story is not always with a happy ending.
Since the medium of transport by ship on the oceans is bereft with problems, which includes the proper stowage of cargo for the journey, the erratic weather conditions which directly affects sea movement and the safety of the ship and its cargo, Marine Insurance is cardinal.
For these reasons the Marine adventure must be cushioned by Hull and Cargo Insurance. We are concerned in this instance with the shipment of cargo and what the shipper who is invariably the insurer, and the insured, has to look out for when cargo is lost in a marine misadventure.
